Brandenburg GmbH and Lambda Research Corporation Announces LucidShape™ 1.5 with LucidFunGeo™

LITTLETON, Mass., January 17, 2006 -- Lambda Research Corporation and Brandenburg GmbH announces release 1.5 of its LucidShape with LucidFunGeo, software for automotive illumination design and analysis.

The LucidShape 1.5 release has many new features including a new standalone night drive simulator LucidDrive, additional mathematical models for BRDF materials (Harvey-Shack), free form lens design (the ultimate tool for any state-of-the-art lens designer), extended LED applications, and a new possibility for wavelength specific simulations and ray tracing pertinent to variety of automotive and general lighting applications. Information on the latest LED applications will be continually added to our expanding toolbox. The new Lucid Shape’s links to CAD software, LucidXChange and LucidCOM, were added to LucidShape to expand the interoperability of the software.

LucidDrive, LucidShape’s night drive simulator, now features high photo-realistic texture-based graphics, improved speed, AFS simulation, and a motorcycle view simulation enabling an inclined visualization of the scene. LucidDrive is now also offered as a stand-alone software package.
